A web platform for readers in Romania, where they organize their library, discover books and lend them to people in the same city.
The challenge
A personal library easily becomes a mix of physical shelves, lists, separate apps and conversations. Meanwhile, books that could reach other readers remain unused, and recommendations do not reflect what you actually read.
What we built
Local lending
A book can be offered for lending, while readers in the same city can send a request and agree on details directly in the platform.
A community around books
Reader profiles, follows for people and books, likes, a feed and conversations that keep recommendations in context.
AI recommendations
A reader profile and personalized recommendations, built from read books and preferences in the library.
Effortless additions
Title search, ISBN scanning and Goodreads import let readers bring an existing library into the product quickly.
Administration and trust
An administration space for moderation and operations, alongside account and preference flows designed for a real community.
What this project shows
AmCitit combines a community product, a local marketplace and a personal tool into one coherent experience. It needed clear flows for books, profiles, lending requests and interactions between people — not just a list of titles.
